The 2023 Norfolk Superhero challenge took place on 10th June and has so far raised a massive £168,695 for chosen charity Nourishing Norfolk.
This year’s chosen charity is Norfolk Community Foundation’s Nourishing Norfolk initiative which works to ensure that no one in Norfolk goes hungry.
Specifically, this year’s fundraiser is supporting the development of five hubs in North Norfolk.
What is the Challenge?
The Norfolk Superhero is a charity quadrathlon for those who relish an endurance challenge.
Participants take part in teams of two and together cover a course that includes a 1 mile swim, a 4 mile kayak through the creeks, a 45 mile circular cycle route and an 8 mile run across the beach finishing with the last mile over the marsh. Teams must stick together and help each other out although there is a good mix of competition on show as well.

- The Barratt and Cooke Swim Leg (1 Mile)
- The Gresham’s Kayak Leg (4 Miles)
- The RQ Capital Cycle Leg (45 Miles)
- The Holkham Run Leg (8 Miles)
From the boatman, who so kindly helps ferry the competitors out to the start at Gun Hill, to the volunteer safety guys and gals on paddle boards, kayaks, RIBs and 4x4s or just two legs, the Superhero would not happen without their help.
