Fundraising Event
The “Jail & Bail” fundraising event in aid of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity got off to a dramatic start last week.
Six high profile Norfolk individuals were ‘arrested’ for an assortment of ‘serious crimes’ across the county. They are now tasked with raising sufficient monies to pay their fines and secure their release.
The ‘criminals’ appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on 2nd June to face charges in front of real magistrates and solicitors.
Dan Bradfield, Tom Haczewski, Steve Wright, Brian Bush, Hilary Gauthier and Mike Harrowven are appealing for your support to help them avoid ‘spending time at His Majesty’s Pleasure’.
All funds raised are being donated to the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, who are building the new Priscilla Bacon Lodge. Over £12m of the £12.5m has been raised, but they still need your help to raise the final £250,000 to complete the building and gardens, so the new facility can open in late Summer 2023.
The new hospice will boast the most modern facilities and a wider range of services, giving people with terminal or life-limiting illness a greater choice of care.
The event was supported by Norfolk Police, with prison uniforms and chains supplied by Serco who are responsible for security at the Magistrates’ Court. The event was also supported by Gordon Barber Funeral Directors.
