Community Champions Tribute

At the Royal Norfolk Show 2023

In acknowledgement of the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and Queen, and their commitment to supporting community cohesion and volunteering, a tribute to Community Champions took place at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

The tribute was organised in partnership between the Norfolk Lieutenancy and the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association.

Mark Nicholas, Managing Director of the RNAA, said:

“The Royal Norfolk Show has a long history of honouring and recognising achievement, and this year we were particularly delighted to promote Norfolk’s champions who do so much for our communities.”

“Thank you for your contribution”

About 700 Community Champions came together in the Grand Ring on the Wednesday evening of the Show.

Proudly decorated in the colours of their uniforms, flags and banners, the champions were addressed by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk, The Lady Dannatt MBE.

She said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your contribution in this wonderful county of ours.

“His Majesty is as proud of you as I am, and I wanted to pass on his immense thanks and congratulations to you all.”
