Arranging a visit by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk

Lady Dannatt is looking forward to her visit and is most grateful for all of your preparations. Please complete the form below at least one week before the event.

Please be reminded that the Lord-Lieutenant is The King’s representative and as such, must be hosted appropriately. This means an appointed person should meet the Lord-Lieutenant on arrival and ensure she is introduced appropriately and hosted during the event. If you are in any doubt, please contact the Lieutenancy office

Please indicate if there are particular hazards or one way systems especially if the only parking is in a public car park not immediately in the vicinity of the venue
Parking should always be reserved close by where possible as the Lord-Lieutenant should be the last to arrive (meaning spaces are sometimes not available)
Ideally either the organiser or the host
(to include other civic or church leaders, or leaders of other organisations)
Please include an order of events/schedule for the day, including timings. Note: If there is a procession of dignitaries, the Lord-Lieutenant should enter last and should leave first.
Is the Lord-Lieutenant required to give a talk/speech?
(if so, speech points/guidance need to be provided) In any speech of welcome, the Lord-Lieutenant’s presence should be acknowledged.
If a wreath is to be laid will this be provided?
The Lord-Lieutenant has no specific dietary needs
